Kono Studio was born out of a deep love for design and a belief that great spaces should feel like you.

Founded in 2025 by Darina Keane, Kono Studio is a New York City-based multidisciplinary design studio offering services across Architectural Design, Interior Design, and Decorating. The name Kono comes from the Japanese word for "this" — a small word that carries a big idea: that the best spaces are rooted in the present moment, in authenticity, and in the people who live within them.

Design at Kono is less about following a formula and more about following a feeling. A space can hold a mood, a memory, an entire world, and the best ones do. Whether the vision is rooted in a half-remembered place, a long-held passion, or something that exists only at the edges of imagination, the work is in the translation. Every project is a collaboration, an adventure, and always, deeply intentional.
